The Law Offices of Houston M. Smith, P.C., is Sponsoring a Drive Safe Prom Public Safety Announcement Video Contest.
Distracted driving is a huge problem amongst teens and accounts for a significant number of teenage traffic fatalities. Unfortunately, during prom season from April to June, alcohol use increases amongst teen drivers. Drinking while driving and texting while driving amongst other distractions leads to increased deaths. As personal injury attorneys, we see all too often the dangers associated with drinking and driving, texting while driving, speeding, and other acts that result in serious injuries and death to individuals in general. We are committed to spreading awareness about the dangers associated with teenagers getting behind the wheel on their way to and from prom in an effort to help prevent as many traffic fatalities as possible that involve the young teens in our community. We want our local Kaufman County teens to help us spread awareness with Public Safety Announcement videos.
Join the Prom Safe Driving Public Safety Announcement Videos Contest. You could win a limo ride for you and your friends for prom.
Groups from any Kaufman County high school, including Crandall, Forney, Kaufman, Kemp, Mabank, Scurry-Rosser, and Terrell, can participate. There can be an unlimited number of groups from each school; however, the individual groups cannot exceed 10 participants. The winning group will receive a limo ride for prom. The limo will seat 10 people.
